He initiated and served as editor for the T.H.E. Biofeedback Clinician column in the international newsmagazine Biofeedback, and for many years has served as a consulting editor/manuscript reviewer for the Journal Biofeedback and Self-Regulation. As a consulting editor, he was instrumental in determining the final definition of biofeedback therapy and clinical applications sections of the publication: Clinical Efficacy and Cost-effectiveness of Biofeedback Therapy: Guidelines for Third Party Reimbursement. All of these professional journals/books are published by the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (until recently known as The Biofeedback Society of America).
Since 1991, he has held the position of Consultant in Biofeedback for the Sleep Disorders Laboratory of the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Since 1992, he has been the President of Insync Institute Inc.
Since 1993, he has served as a founding member of the Executive Council, as a Board Examiner and Diplomate, of the National Registry of Neurofeedback Providers (N.R.N.P.). In 1994, he was elected Program Chairman for the EEG Brainwave Section of the national biofeedback society's (AAPB) annual convention. Also in 1994, he was appointed to the position of co-chair for the Society for the Study of Neuronal Regulation's (S.S.N.R.) second annual meeting. In 1994 and 1995, he served as Chariman of the Board of Directors and President of the Society for the Study of Neuronal Regulation . As of June 1995, he has served as the Editor of The International Journal of Neuronal Regulation, an electronic journal on the WWW, whose URL is the same as that of the Society For the Study of Neuronal Regulation's web page - http://www.primenet.com/~ssnr.
